Dalmine dopo il bombardamento: la rinascita della città-fabbrica = Dalmine after the bombing: the rebirth of the factory and the town

The heavy bombing that the factory and the town of Dalmine suffered in July 1944 caused extensive damage to the production lines and a very high number of civil victims. A high effort was immediately requested to resume the production, recovering the roofs and putting back into operation the machinery in the damaged sheds. Even the injured buildings, first of all the Direction Palace for its symbolic value, were soon repaired or rebuilt, erasing the signs of the suffered wounds.

Il pesante bombardamento subito dalla ‘Fabbrica Tubi Dalmine’ nel luglio del 1944 causò ingenti danni all’apparato produttivo e un elevato numero di vittime civili. Un grande sforzo venne compiuto immediatamente per riprendere ove possibile la produzione, riparando le coperture e rimettendo in funzione i macchinari nei capannoni danneggiati; anche gli edifici colpiti, primo fra tutti per valore simbolico quello della Direzione, vennero presto riparati o ricostruiti, cancellando i segni delle ferite subite.
