Proceedings of the METMA VII and GRASPA14 Conference. Torino (IT), 10-12 September 2014: these proceedings gather the full set of contributions presented at the joint meeting METMA VII – GRASPA14, hosted by the Department of Economics and Statistics “Cognetti de Martiis” at the University of Torino (IT) from 10th to 12th September 2014.
The meeting brings together two communities with common research interests: the development and use of statistical methods in the environmental sciences, reflecting the richness and diversity of current research in spatial, spatio-temporal, and environmental statistics.
The collected papers cover a broad spectrum of topics—including geostatistical modelling, functional data analysis, spatial econometrics, ecological and biodiversity studies, hydrological modelling, environmental risk assessment, and advanced Bayesian and non-parametric methods.
Together, they offer a comprehensive overview of recent methodological developments and applied research addressing the challenges posed by the analysis of complex environmental systems.
