Promoting and encouraging healthy aging is an ambitious scientific challenge that is receiving wide attention. According to scientific literature, there are many factors that play an important role for longevity and at present many studies are carried out with this specific objective. The research goal aims to identify the determinants in individual’s daily habits which, if promoted and supported, guide the population towards healthy aging paths. Afterwards, the project proposes a tailored way of intervening on future aging population to promote health longevity and prevent frailty, focusing attention not only on the pathology but, instead, enhancing the resources and positive factors of everyone’s life history. Bergamo citizens aged between 55 and 75 years are recruited and interviewed to investigate their personal representations of growing old. Then, they are multidimensionally assessed (from a psychological, neurocognitive, functional and contextual perspective). Using the results of this evaluation phase as criteria, the sample is divided into 4 groups characterized by different possibilities of having future longevity definable as “healthy”. Thus, a psychopromotion technology-based intervention is proposed tailored on the population specific characteristics, resources and needs. The psychopromotion intervention is designed to maximize the possibilities of well-being for people who have shown good health indicators and to orient those aging trajectories that seems to be more at risk of frailty or illness. We expect an improvement in the psychophysical well-being and quality of life in all groups testing how the use of nudges technologies can prevent frailty aging trajectories and support healthy longevity.
