The articles deals with the relapses of the “Debkbild” on German literature after WWII at the wake of Th.W. Adorno’s refections on the “World after Auschwitz” and on Walter Benjamin’s “Einbahnstraße”. In particular, the paper focuses on W.G. Sebald’s oeuvre in order, on the one hand, to underline the reenactment of the Denkbild in German literary production after WWII and, on the other hand, to investigate the role played by such a genre in a world offended by nazism.
