In several fields and applications, the measurement of the forces acting during the working phases is a very important subject. In some cases, force sensors may be chosen from the market according to the measurement range, precision and bandwidth requirements, but frequently they are designed and developed customized on the specific application. The present paper deals with experimental activities on a custom designed force sensor for the textile field, characterized by a small full scale value, small displacements and high bandwidth. In particular, the design and development activities of a proper test rig is reported as well as the experimental results on the tested force sensor.

Abstract
In several fields and applications, the measurement of the forces acting during the working phases is a very important subject. In some cases, force sensors may be chosen from the market according to the measurement range, precision and bandwidth requirements, but frequently they are designed and developed customized on the specific application. The present paper deals with experimental activities on a custom designed force sensor for the textile field, characterized by a small full scale value, small displacements and high bandwidth. In particular, the design and development activities of a proper test rig is reported as well as the experimental results on the tested force sensor.Pubblicazioni consigliate
